95% of the photos I have never seen before and I have owned a lot of books on laurel and hardy. The book is very big and the overall quality is excellent. It is going to take a few weeks to read through this. If you are a fan it is a must buy as was the first book.

This is a must for any Laurel and Hardy fan. This is the most comprehensive book I have ever seen and absolutely beautiful pictures!! The CD is a wonderful bonus!! Better have good muscles…this is one heavy book!!

Great book about the best Comediens

Amazing - can’t wait for Vol 2

I have always loved Laurel & Hardy (in Italy Stanlio & Ollio) and I never get tired of laughing, appreciating, enjoying and even being moved by their talent and immense genius. This book is beautiful to see and to watch, without ever getting tired. All these beautiful photos and documents allow me to see our beloved heroes from another perspective, to understand a little more about their world and the environment in which their works were created. It is worth every euro it costs, in fact it is worth more. The book has only a (small) defect: the texts are written only in English. But that's okay! Thanks to the authors for what they have done. A beautiful marvellous book !
P.S. I wonder if the authors know that the success of Stanlio & Ollio in Italy was increased by the dubbing that changed the accents, thus making the dialogues even funnier (obviously as regards the films with sound). But it was Stan and Ollie who first created this magic, shooting the first sound films directly in multiple languages, they had obvious pronunciation difficulties that turned into a great comic effect.
