Fantastic job

I have been a lifelong fan of Stan & Ollie since I was 8 years old. I have a vast collection of books, memorabilia, and autographs of The Boys. I learned a lot by reading this fantastic book. I also saw so many photos that I had never seen before. I read it over several days and loved every page of it. I highly suggest any fan to purchase it and I will certainly order Volume 2, hoping it is at least half as great as this one is!

Das Buch ist nicht gerade billig, aber dafür auch jeden einzelnen Cent wert! Bis jetzt das Beste was ich von den Beiden in den Händen hielt!
Ein schweres großformatiges Bilderbuch mit seltenen, teils nachkolorierten Fotos, mit Abbildungen von Filmplakaten, Tickets, Accessoires, Behind the Scenens Momente etc. etc. - einfach nur schön zum Stöbern.
Schade nur, dass der Begleittext nur auf Englisch ist, - für mich zwar absolut in Ordnung, aber ich denke, es gibt sehr viele Fans, die der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind und davon abgeschreckt werden!
Obgleich auch ohne Begleittext die Bilder für sich alleine sprechen und wenn man die Geschichte der Beiden kennt, spielt der Text nur eine untergeordnete Rolle!
Mein Fazit: kaufen, kaufen, kaufen!!!
Ich freu mich schon auf den zweiten Teil!

A work of the century! Countless gems from the treasure chest of film history. Any future work about Laurel and Hardy will have to be measured against this. Breathtaking.

The ultimate chronicle of the Worlds most beloved Comedy Team. It's all here in the gorgeous and superbly printed book. This was obviously put together with love and respect for our two protagonists. I've been a L&H for many decades and have read many books about them- both good and bad- but this volume outclasses them all. Stunning photographs (many in color) and an informative text make this book an absolute necessity for both scholars and fans of Stan and Ollie.

I finally just received my book. It was sent back to post office and I finally retrieved it. So worth the waite! It's a beautiful book. Pictures I haven't seen before. The pictures are magnificent. It was a lot of money for me to spend but well worth it. A lot of love and attention went into the making of this book and I am looking forward to Vol. 2
